An Instagram fitness star who won millions of fans thanks to her honed abs has shared a picture of her 'droopy' tummy four weeks after giving birth.
Mother-of-two Alexa Brown, 26, who lives in Arizona, added the revealing snap of her stomach to a frank Instagram post in which she described the 'stretch marks and belly rolls' that are part and parcel of having children.
Alexa, who has 2million Instagram followers, said it was 'unrealistic' to expect women to bounce back into shape immediately after giving birth.
The 26-year-old worked out regularly during her second pregnancy and kept her fans updated with her progress throughout.
But while they are used to seeing the athletic blonde looking toned and trim, Alexa posted the post-birth picture of her 'sqiushy, droopy flub' in a deliberate attempt to be honest with her army of female followers.
She wrote in the caption that just as it is her job to motivate her followers, it is as important to be relatable and honest.
'Our society has put this idea in our heads that women have to bounce right back after having a baby, but that's typically just not realistic,' she wrote.

'This is not the truth for most of us.'
Alexa admitted she is not immune to the pressure created by images of celebrities looking trim and toned almost immediately after giving birth.
She wrote that despite feeling 'bummed' that her body didn't bounce back immediately, she can't help but feel 'so amazed that this body created two beautiful babies'.
The fitness enthusiast had her second baby in December and on her blog, alexajeanfitness.com, wrote that she understands how hard it can be to get motivated and squeeze in workouts each day.
She creates workout programs to target specific muscle groups in innovative ways and which allows people with busy lives to achieve their desired body.

'This is me 4 weeks post birth. As much as its my job to motivate you I also believe it's my job to be relatable and honest.
'Our society has put this idea in our heads that women have to bounce right back after having a baby, but that's typically just not realistic. This is not the truth for most of us.
'I have more stretch marks and belly rolls and that's perfectly NORMAL and OKAY.
'I remember being part way through this pregnancy seeing this woman online 1-day post partum with a flat tummy and abs thinking to myself, "wowie, I hope I can pull that off".
'I instantly felt the pressure to measure up. Then fast forward to my 1-day post partum body and it was more of the squishy, droopy flub that I remember after my first baby.
'As bummed as I was that I didn't just bounce right back to my pre-baby body, I can't help but feel so amazed that this body created two beautiful babies.
'If you're finding yourself obsessing about, feeling ashamed of or apologizing for the appearance of your body, even if you haven't just had a child, STOP.
'Our bodies are incredible and amazing and we need to love every inch of it. Lots of love to all of the other amazing mommies out there!'
